Parking boost for museum

THE Tom Leonard Mining Museum, Skinningrove, is to get a new car park and access road thanks to funding secured by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. The museum, which honours east Cleveland's mining heritage, needed to develop its car parking facilities and an access road, but the local authority did not have enough cash to carry out the works. Instead, it accessed the £9,200 needed from the Rural Recovery Fund and the Rural Development Programme. It is anticipated that the work will be completed by the end of this month.
