TWO elderly women were left "extremely shaken" after their North-East home was ransacked by burglars.
The women disturbed the burglars at their home in Chester Road, Billingham, Teesside on Wednesday night.
One of the men had squeezed through an open window before letting his accomplice in at the back door.
They ransacked drawers in a bedroom, escaping with about £200 of £2 coins and a green and brown handbag.
PC Adrian Martin, of Billingham Police, said: "This was a frightening incident for these two elderly women."
The first man was described as about 20, 5ft 7in, with short dark hair and a moustache, wearing a navy coat. The second man was only described as being slightly older.
