PUPILS and teachers from Hurworth Comprehensive School, near Darlington, will be packing bags for shoppers tonight to raise money for its specialist school status bid.
The bid for specialist maths and computing status requires a £50,000 input, and the school hopes to bring £440,000 into the community if successful.
The school is only £28,692 short of its target, which it hopes to achieve by July.
Tonight's event takes place at Morrison's, in Neasham Road, Darlington.
To help the appeal contact the school on (01325) 720424.
