Newsletter volunteers call

Sedgefield Development Partnership has formed a sub-group to publish a newsletter and is seeking volunteers to help with its production.

A free training course is to be run on the second and third Thursday in April, which will be open to any other people who wish to improve their skills in producing a newsletter for their own organisation.

RESIDENTS MEET: Tudhoe Village Residents' Association holds its annual meeting next Thursday, at 7.30pm, in St David's Church Hall. After the meeting, Janet Thackray will give a slide show on Durham Old and New.

CAR STOLEN: A grey Nissan Sunny, registration F515 LTY, was stolen from Cleveland Avenue, Ferryhill, between 6pm on Tuesday and 5.15am on Wednesday.

AWARDS NIGHT: Sedgefield Millennium Volunteers is holding its award and presentation evening at the Hardwick Hall Hotel, tonight, at 7pm.

WHIST DRIVE: Durham County Federation of Women's Institutes is holding a whist drive at Evenwood Church Hall on Saturday, March 23, at 2pm. Entry is £1.50.

FORUM GATHERING: A meeting of the Newton Aycliffe Town Centre Forum will be held in the offices of Great Aycliffe Town Council, School Aycliffe Lane, next Tuesday, at 2pm.

WORKSHOPS OFFER: The Bishop Auckland Discovery Centre is hosting two workshops for children and adults. Textile artist and papermaker Anne Johnson will teach mask-making on Saturday, March 23, and bowls and vessels production on Saturday, April 13. MUSIC COMPETITION: The annual Leschinski Music Prize competition will take place at Darlington's Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, next Thursday. The event is open to the public.

EURO MEETING: A public meeting on the euro will be held at Darlington Arts Centre next Friday, at 7pm. It has been organised by the European Movement - Britain in Europe group.
