AS part of National Science Week, people are invited to visit one of Tees Valley Wildlife Trust's nature reserves to learn about the environmental improvements taking place.
They will be able to join pupils of St Mark's Elm Tree CE Primary School and Port Clarence Primary, at Portrack Marsh, Stockton today, when they finish planting 3,500 reeds in the scrapes and water edges.
During the past six months, the Wildlife Trust has planted more than 200 trees, cleared 600 metres of ditch, cleared two scrapes, 100m of path and built a dipping platform.
The event takes place from 10am to 3pm.
