"NEWLYWEDS" Tilly Lanagan and Andrew Fearneyhough may have to wait a few more years before they can officially tie the knot, but the youngsters still celebrated their special day in style.
Andrew and Tilly were joined by fellow pupils and teachers for the ceremony at St John's Church, Ingleton, near Darlington, after arriving in a chauffeur-driven car.
The mock wedding was part of a project about family celebrations for pupils at Ingleton Primary School, and was followed by a christening ceremony.
The couple dressed up for the role, with five-year-old Andrew wearing a morning suit and top hat, and four-year-old Tilly impressing onlookers in a white dress and veil.
After the wedding and christening, the pupils headed back to school for a reception, where school caterers provided a cake and food.
Before the day was over, the pupils were back in the classroom learning all about special anniversaries and birthdays
