POLICE will take a special garden shed back on the road in North Yorkshire next week.
The county's constabulary launched its Sheducation programme last month, urging homeowners to beef up the security of their garages and outbuildings, so often targeted by opportunities thieves.
Nearly £1m worth of property was stolen from sheds in the Hambleton, Ryedale, and Scarborough areas alone between April and December last year.
A mobile police station, complete with a shed boasting the latest in anti-burglar devices will arrive in Huby, Sutton-on-the-Forest and Stillington on Tuesday, before moving on to Swainby and Hutton Rudby on Thursday, and Borrowby and Knayton on Friday.
