MUSIC FESTIVAL: The music for youth regional auditions for the North-East will be held at Egglescliffe School today and tomorrow. Both days will have morning and afternoon sessions. Entry to the event is free.
SHOW TIME: A performance entitled Show Time is to be held at the Yarm Fellowship Hall, West Street, on March 23. The show features Eileen Davey and Andrew Nix. Tickets, which cost £7.50, and include buffet and wine, are available on (01642) 888786.
SPRING SHOW: The Mount Leven WI group of Yarm holds its spring show today, at Thornaby Methodist Church at 2pm. Admission costs 50p including tea.

SCHOOL OPENING: Ingleby Barwick's £1.25m primary school will open its doors later this year and parents wanting to send their children there are urged to get in touch. St Francis of Assisi voluntary aided Church of England primary school is jointly funded by the York diocese and Stockton Local Education Authority and is due to open on September 1. It will initially hold classes in a neighbouring school, with the new building opening in late October. The school will hold 210 pupils, along with a 26-place nursery. There will be a computer suite, library, music and drama area. The headteacher will be Paul Bramley, head of Layfield Primary School, in Yarm. BEAUTY AND BEAST: Pupils of year three of Yarm Preparatory School present their end of term entertaining presentation of Beauty and the Beast on Tuesday, in the school's theatre at 7pm.
SCHOOL SALE: The Blue Peter bring and buy sale held by Yarm Preparatory School pupils last week has raised more than £250.
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS: Maltby Village Hall social committee is considering ideas of how to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. Suggestions are welcome and if anyone would like to help with the organisation there are vacancies on the village hall committee. To help call (01642) 596845.
MOTHERING SUNDAY: On Mothering Sunday a family service with communion was held in All Saints' Church, Hutton Rudby. Children gave their mothers posies. Older members of the congregation were invited to light a candle in memory of mothers who have died
