POLICE suspect they may have found the body of a missing Korean woman, whose disappearance was being linked to North Yorkshire's body-in-a-suitcase murder.
A couple who bought a property in east London made the discovery as they move possessions into their new home on Friday.
The body, thought to be that of 22-year-old Hae Song, was examined by a pathologist at the scene. The results were not available last night.
The house, in the capital's Poplar area, has remained sealed off to allow a detailed forensic examination to continue.
Ms Song was studying hotel management at Guildhall University in London but had not been seen since December 8.
Police were originally linking her disappearance to the discovery of the remains of another Korean woman at the side of a country lane on the edge of York in November.
Hyo Jung Jin's body had been stuffed inside a suitcase, found dumped in a hedge by a passer-by.
Ms Song was also known to have visited York the same month, although she returned to London safely before she vanished,
Kyo Soo Kim, 30, of Holburn, London, appeared at the Old Bailey on January 28, charged with the murder of Ms Jin. He was remanded in custody to appear at a second hearing later this month.
