THE poetry of Dylan Thomas will be brought to life during a performance in Darlington this week.
Guy Masterson is bringing his production, Fern Hill and Other Dylan Thomas, to the Darlington Arts Centre, in Vane Terrace, tomorrow.
A spokesman for the centre said: "Combining the magical words of the Welsh wordsmith with Masterson's power, charm and virtuosity, this production is a delight for aficionados of Dylan Thomas and lovers of the spoken work."
The programme includes three of Thomas' short stories: A Visit to Grandpa's, Holiday Memory and A Child's Christmas in Wales. Also included is a selection of his verse, including Fern Hill.
The spokesman said: "Masterson makes the words sing, echo and vibrate in a way that will be remembered for a long time."
Tickets for the performance, which starts at 8pm, are priced at £8 and £6. For details, contact the Arts Centre box office on (01325) 486555.
