RESIDENTS are being urged to register for a new forum before time runs out.
More than a week has passed since the first invitations to become members of Sunderland City Council's Community Spirit forum dropped through people's letterboxes.
So far, hundreds of residents have signed up, but with this Friday's deadline for replies looming, those who have not yet replied are being urged to do so.
Sarah Reed, head of the council's best value team, said: "Everyone has something to say about where they live, and Community Spirit gives people the chance to get their views down on paper.
"The responses we receive will make a difference and will be used by those making the decisions that affect people's daily lives."
More than 20,000 residents, selected randomly from the electoral register, have been invited to join the panel. Anyone who has mislaid an invitation can call 0800 783 1710.
