NIMBLE fingered fundraisers have joined forces to help two charities.
Middlesbrough's deputy mayor, Councillor Ken Hall, joined supporters of the Edward Guy Foundation for Hospice Care as they took part in a sponsored knit in Middlesbrough's Cleveland Centre.
The knitters all made squares, which will be made into blankets for a children's hospice in Romania, while all the sponsorship money will go to the foundation.
Started by Glenys Guy in memory of her husband, Edward, the foundation has helped to fund the Edward Guy Day Care Centre at the Teesside Hospice and regularly raises about £1,000 a week from its charity shops and a wide range of activities.
The sponsored knit continued on Saturday at the centre
