THREE teams of youngsters from County Durham and Teesside will be going head-to-head against more than 80 schools in a challenging competition.
Youngsters from Darlington Youth and Community Association, Ormesby Comprehensive in Middlesbrough, and Woodham Community College in Newton Aycliffe will take part in the North-East heats of the HSBC Kielder Challenge.
Each team must include four able-bodied members and four with disabilities.
Youngsters will put their teamwork skills to the test at the HSBC Kielder Challenge heat at Sedgefield on April 9 in a bid to win a place in the final in September at Kielder Forest in Northumberland.
They will face challenging problems such as trip-wire mazes, rope bridge events, puzzle solving and rafting.
