THIS week is the last chance for people to enjoy a millennium exhibition in Bishop Auckland which brings to life the traditions of a remote ex-mining village.
People in Nenthead, a village in the North Pennines, put together a selection of photographs for their millennium community exhibition.
The pictures which portray the diverse range of work and social activities in the village are on display in the Discovery Centre, in the Market Place, Bishop Auckland.
Also featuring in the exhibition are artefacts relating to the upper Weardale's mining heritage, provided by Killhope Lead Mining Centre.
The event is funded by Awards for All, The Countryside Agency, Sponsors Club, and the North Pennines Heritage Trust.
The exhibition runs until Saturday and opening times are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. For more details, contact James Lowther at the Discovery Centre on (01388) 662666.
