STUDENTS at a Darlington school are making the most of a scheme which provides free magazines to young people.
Haughton Community School is taking part in the project, run by retailer WH Smith, which entitles it to a free monthly supply of magazines, which are to be read during tutorials
The focus of the project is year nine students, and the aim is to raise the profile of reading among all pupils.
Two students from each tutor group were nominated to visit the Darlington store yesterday, where they chose £20 worth of magazines, which they thought would appeal to their tutor group.
