PLANS have been submitted to convert a former pub into a medical centre.
Doctors at the Netherlaw surgery, Stanhope Road, Darlington, want to turn Blacketts, in Bondgate, into a GP practice.
They have submitted proposals to Darlington Borough Council's planning department to extend the listed building as well as the conversion.
If approved, the five doctors at the surgery, hope to provide a medical centre, dentist surgery, drop-in centre, chemist and minor operations suite.
There are also plans to create a counselling and rape crisis suite at the cottage attached to the former pub.
