NEW DATE: The Crook Community Partnership community appraisal meeting scheduled for last Monday has been rearranged for Monday, April 8 at 7pm, in the Elite Hall, Crook.
The partnership is in the final stages of drawing up an action plan for the regeneration of Crook, and the meeting will be the final opportunity for Crook residents to have input into the scheme.
Up to £1m will become available to Crook through the Market Town Initiative Programme.
GOLDEN JUBILEE: The first Crook St Catherine's Brownies celebrate their golden jubilee tonight, at 6pm, in Crook Primary School, with a party.
SPRING FAIR: The Salvation Army is holding a spring fair in Queen Street,Crook, on Saturday, from 10am to noon.
MINIBUS APPEAL: The Friends of the Wear Valley Centre, in Crook, are holding an Easter family disco at the Elite Hall, on Thursday, April 4, from 7pm to 10.30pm. Admission will be £1 for adults and 50p for children.
EGG COMPETITION: Crook Library is holding a decorated egg competition with Easter eggs as prizes.
There will be two categories for under and over-sevens. Entries have to be received by April 5.
The library is also starting a Cool Kids Club, and more information is available form library staff. The library will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
PLAYERS MEET: Crook Town Cricket Club are holding as players' meeting at the ground tonight, at 7.30pm.
