A SPONSORED pub crawl around Ferryhill and Spennymoor has raised £750 for charity.
Neal Blenkinsop and his friends Glen George and Kevin Elsdon toured pubs in the two towns on Saturday to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The trio set off from the Eldon Arms, Ferryhill Station, on Saturday morning with a collecting bucket.
Mr Blenkinsop said: "Spennymoor pubs bent over backwards for us and I can't thank them enough. Every single pub welcomed us with open arms."
United 2000 taxis provided two free rides to help them complete the crawl, which ended at the Eldon Arms at 6.30pm.
The trio hope to boost the total they have raised with a presentation night at the Eldon Arms next month.
