EASTER SERVICES: The Easter services in Yarm Parish church are as follows: Sunday, March 24 (Palm Sunday) 8am Holy Communion and 10am Processional Service with blessing of the palms.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 25, 26 and 27, 7.30pm Holy communion.
Maundy Thursday, March 28, 7.30pm sung Eucharist with washing of feet, followed by watch until midnight.
Good Friday, March 29, at noon, Liturgy and Eucharist. 2pm an hour before the cross.
Saturday, March 30, 8pm service with renewal of baptismal vows.
Sunday, March 31, 8am Holy Communion (said) and 10.00 am Holy Communion (sung).
TROLLEY DASH: The winners of Yarm and District Lions Club's charity draw, in aid of autistic charities and other Lions charities, are: 1, a three-minute trolley dash, won by Mrs Lamb, ticket number 3718; 2, Safeway vouchers, won by Mr Laroche, ticket number; 3, Safeway vouchers won by R Arron, ticket number 3946.
The trolley dash takes place on Sunday at the Ingleby Barwick store, at 8am.
PARISH MAGAZINE: As the Reverend David Moore is soon to retire, after 30 years as vicar of Kirklevington, Castlevington, Picton and High and Low Worsall, his letter in the March parish newsletter is one of thanks to everyone who has helped to produce and distribute the magazine over the years.
He mentions the love-hate relationship he has had as editor, enjoying the work but not the deadlines. Mike Wood, of Kirklevington, will lead the new production team.
ILLUSTRATED TALK: Yarm Civic Society presents an illustrated talk by Malcolm Wilkinson, called Victorian Eaglescliffe. The event, on Friday, is in Yarm Youth and Community Centre, High Church Wynd, Yarm, at 7.30pm.

DAWDLE AND DASH: The Macmillan Cancer Relief committee is holding a "dawdle and dash" walk or run on Sunday, April 21, from 11am to 2pm.
It will take place on the point-to-point course at Skutterskelfe, between Hutton Rudby and Stokesley.

JAZZ REPAIRS: A jazz evening held at Kirklevington in February raised £500 towards the church repair fund, taking the total to more than £3,000, which has been raised in less than a year.
A sum of £2,000 has already been spent on repairs and refurbishment.
SCHOOL REUNION: Two former pupils of Egglescliffe School are organising a school reunion for all pupils and teachers who left the school in 1987.

MUM'S TREAT: Ingleby Barwick Guides handed out a Mother's Day treat, serving up an Italian meal at the community centre, in Beckfields.
