AFTER a year becalmed by foot-and-mouth restrictions, a river boat is cruising back into business.
The Teesside Princess was hit when sections of its route along the Tees, between Stockton and Yarm, were closed because of the disease restrictions.
As a result, cruises had to be cancelled for a number of booked coach parties during last Easter and throughout the summer.
But a £7,000 marketing grant, secured with the help of Business Link, has helped the boat's owner, Endeavour Northern, drum up business.
Director Joseph Wilson said: "Things are steadily getting back to normal, and hopefully, when the weather picks up again, we'll see a significant increase in business in comparison to last summer."
