A Savoy chef and a fashion guru were on hand yesterday to help a major supermarket launch a new look.
Daniel Cartwright will be the in-house chef at the refurbished Sainsbury's store at Monks Cross, in York. He will be giving customers recipe ideas, cooking hints and one-to-one advice by appointment, as part of a range of new initiatives in the store.
Yesterday, he showed designer Jeff Banks around the enlarged building, which features one of the celebrity's clothing ranges.
The store has undergone an revamp and extension over the past 12 days, and now has 16,000 new products and an extra 120 members of staff.
