FOUR students at a Darlington school have won a competition after designing a poster promoting a French market.
Leanne Hopkins, Katharine Holdstock, Jessica Vicars and Adam Harrison designed their winning entries at Longfield Comprehensive School, where they all study.
The winning posters will be used to promote the event, which will promote produce from across the Channel, and is to be held from April 5 to 8 in Darlington town centre.
The prizes, decorated chocolate eggs, were presented to the students yesterday by Darlington town centre assistant Richard Baker.
Lisa Wilkinson, from the school's modern languages department, said: "This is the first French market we have had in Darlington, although there has been one in Shildon, so the children have been happy to help."
