MIDDLESBROUGH FC boss Steve McClaren has been talent spotting at a Teesside school this week as he opened a sports facility.
The Middlesbrough FC manager was visiting Yarm School on Wednesday to open the school's sports surface.
He watched as pupils gave tennis, hockey and football demonstrations on the new pitches.
The surface provides a boost to the school's sports facilities because the new pitches can be used all year round.
In the past, many pupils had to be taken off site to participate in some sports.
Headteacher David Dunn said: "This is a marvellous new facility of which we are very proud.
"More of our boys and girls can now enjoy their sports on the school site and will be able to practise their sport on a very high quality surface."
