A SECURITY firm boss has been found not guilty of the attempted murder of his former business partner.
Robbie Doneathy, 35, Appleby Close, Eaglescliffe, Teesside, was cleared on the charge over the shooting in Preston Park, Teesside.
Unarmed combat expert Martin Manderville, 39, of Rhinog Grove, Ingleby Barwick, claimed he was blasted with a sawn-off shotgun on February 27 last year.
The pair formerly provided security for clubs, stores and building sites on Teesside, in Darlington and Hartlepool, but were running rival firms at the time of the shooting.
The jury at Teesside Crown Court still has to reach verdicts on two charges against Doneathy - causing grievous bodily harm with intent and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The case continues.
