A CHAIN of newsagents in the North-East is offering schools the chance to watch nature at work this Easter.
Mills Group, which has 29 stores across the region, has specially-prepared fertilised hens' eggs, which they are offering to schools.
Pupils will be able to look after and study the eggs until they hatch into chicks.
The company has five sets of eggs to give to schools in the area.
Group managing director Nigel Mills said: "I hope that children in the schools will benefit from watching the eggs develop and eventually hatch.
"They will be able to learn from nature and it will make them think about other eggs at Easter and not just the chocolate ones."
Schools can write to Mills Group c/o Jamie Collis at Recognition PR, Lingfield House, Lingfield Point, McMullen Road, Darlington DL1 1RW.
Mills has stores in Darlington, Sunderland, Stockton, Newcastle and Northumberland.
