A Darlington couple who first met at a bus stop have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Kenneth Luck, 75, and his wife Marjorie, 71, were married on March 22, 1952. They have three children, David, Colin and Christine, and are the proud grandparents of six children and great-grandparents to four, with another one on the way.
The couple first met in 1951 in High Row, Darlington, when Mr Luck was with a friend and his wife-to-be was waiting for a bus.
It was love at first sight, and they were married just a year later, at St Luke's Church, Ferryhill.
The couple spent most of their married life in Cockerton, Darlington, but Mr Luck moved into the Eastbourne Nursing Home, in Darlington, two weeks ago.
Mrs Luck visits her husband every day and they spent yesterday celebrating their marriage milestone with a party at the home.
