Darlington will be looking to avoid taking their winless run into double-figures when Swansea City visit Feethams today.
Quakers haven't collected three points since the beginning of February, when Carlisle were beaten 3-1 at Brunton Park.
Darlington will chalk-up their tenth consecutive game without a win if the Welshman, who are 14th in the table, avoid defeat.
At the beginning of the run Quakers were sitting pretty in 12th position and clinging on to the slim chance of earning a play-off spot.
But any ideas of reaching the promotion back door have gone, and now Quakers need a win to stave off the lingering relegation fears.
With bottom-club Halifax in the midst of a revival, it could be said the relegation trapdoor is coming ajar. But the Shaymen are not expected to pick-up their third consecutive win today as they visit second-placed Luton Town.
Including today's game, Darlington have seven chances to win another game this season, but manager Tommy Taylor wants his players to grab the opportunity today.
He said: "No-one wants this run, especially the players.
"Nobody wants to be attached to a winless run, no matter how long it is, but double figures is a milestone to avoid.
"Ten games without a win would be poor, I can't deny that. I've never had a run like this before, but I've ever had injuries like this before."
Darlington's dire injury problems have blighted the season, causing continual team selection problems for Taylor, who must deal with yet more casualties today.
Three of the side that started at York last week, Phil Brumwell, David Brightwell and Neil Maddison, are unavailable, while Gary Pearson is rated 50/50.
Taylor explained: "Neil's got a really bad back so I'm just going to leave him out.
"He's played every game for the last few months and his age doesn't help. He's been up front against some really big lads and took a bit of a battering.
Brightwell has a thigh injury, while Brumwell pulled a hamstring at York, although Barry Conlon is preparing to play after recovering from an operation on his damaged cartilage, while Simon Betts is expected to be back in action by the end of the season.
"Barry's doing really well and with a bit of luck, which we haven't had a lot of this season, he could be back next week," said Taylor.
Right-back Betts hasn't played since suffering from a severely gashed leg after being hit by a very high tackle during Quakers' win at Carlisle, and Taylor explained: "Simon is not away, he might be back in two weeks. He's still got a slight hole in his leg and as soon as it heals up he'll be able to play again.
"He hasn't done any ball work yet but the doctor has said if he gets a bit of dirt in the hole, Simon could get an infection and that would knock him back a few weeks."
Taylor has refuted suggestions that Adam Reed is on his way to Doncaster Rovers on loan.
Taylor said: "I got a phone call on Monday asking if Adam could go down there for a week starting this Monday coming, but Adam didn't want to go.
"It never was going to be a loan deal. They just wanted to have a look at him for next season.
"He said he might have gone if it was a League club, but as it was a non-league club he says he wants to stay here and fight for his place."
Darlington are to give a trial to 18-year-old Baile Molefe from Botswana. He arrives at Feethams for a two-week trial at the end of next week.
Fans are reminded the Darlington Supporters Trust meet this morning (11.30am) at the town's Arts Centre in Vane Terrace.
All supporters are invited to attend the meeting where both the future of the football club, and the Trust will be on the agenda, while fans will also have an opportunity to join the Trust.
