POLICE have repeated a warning to elderly people to beware of bogus water officials.
It follows an attempted burglary at the home of an elderly couple in School Street, Easington, by two men who were allowed in after claiming they needed to test water pressure.
After several minutes, the elderly couple became suspicious and the men left.
Both were in their 30s, about 5ft 8in. One had short ginger hair, the other was stocky, with short dark hair.
