A reward has been offered as police step up the hunt for the people who carried out a shotgun attack on a bus .
The bus driver was lucky to escape unharmed from the incident last Saturday night, in which shots were fired at the bus, damaging the windscreen.
The £1,000 reward has been offered by bus company First York and the Transport and General Workers' Union.
The attack happened in Huntington, near York. The following day, First York drivers called a strike amid growing fears for their safety.
It has since emerged that two other attacks on buses have taken place since the incident.
Police chiefs have warned that the full force of the law will be applied to the culprits.
Chief Inspector Howard Harding, of York Police, said: "There seems to be an emerging trend that people think buses are fair game and that is a trend that we must break.
"The law should be fully and vigorously applied. This is an absolutely foolish thing to do and if people continue to behave in this way, they need to know that they will face the full weight of the law."
