FREE tickets are still available for Monday night's Positive Young People Awards 2002 ceremony.
The achievements of more than 100 young people in the community will be recognised at the awards at Darlington's Civic Theatre.
Members of the public have a chance to be involved in the celebration of youth by attending the ceremony.
Ticket holders will be mixing with guests of honour from across the borough who are turning out to help mark the often unsung efforts of the young nominees, all of whom will receive certificates.
The awards have been organised by Darlington's PS2K peer support team, along with the Darlington Partnership, The Northern Echo and Darlington Borough Council's community education department.
Entertainment will be provided by the Stagecoach Theatre Group and the event is being supported by the Learning and Skills Council.
Monday night's ceremony will be hosted by Peter Barron, editor of The Northern Echo, and James Gilbey, Darlington's former Member of Youth Parliament and a member of PS2K.
Tickets can be collected today, free of charge, from the main reception at The Northern Echo, Priestgate, Darlington, from 9am to noon.
Callers to our offices, on (01325) 505289, before 11am today will also be able to have tickets posted to their homes.
