Computer peripherals reseller Lindy Electronics is celebrating a successful trip to the world's biggest technology exhibition.
The Middlesbrough-based company was the only independent North-East technology company to have a presence at the annual CeBIT exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.
This year's CeBIT event, which had almost 8,000 exhibitors and attracted around 700,000 visitors, was opened by German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.
Lindy managing director Darren Casey said: "CeBIT is like no other event anywhere in the world, and is probably the most important date in the technology industry's calendar, especially after what has been a difficult year for many high profile firms.
"The Lindy stand saw a constant stream of visitors from right around the world, with a lot of interest in the equipment that we had on show and especially in our new International division, which is now successfully exporting our products right around the world.
He added: "This was my tenth consecutive year at CeBIT, and having an official presence is very worthwhile in terms of business development and making new contacts. "We sourced a lot of new business opportunities and are hopeful these will lead to contracts in the coming months."
