CHILDREN from Yarm Preparatory School have been raising money for good causes over the last few weeks.
Youngsters have been putting in more than their usual quote of musical instrument practice, taking part in a marathon effort for the Sargent Cancer Fund for Children, raising £940.
Meanwhile, five and six-year-olds under the guidance of teacher Liz Hodgson have raised £450 for the Intermediate Technology Development Group - a charity specialising in providing low-level technology to help people in developing countries.
The cash was raised to help farmers in the Sudan who will use it to build a plough, and train a donkey to help them become self-sufficient.
