YOUNGSTERS from across the country are to have a great holiday thanks to the hard work of a group of Darlington students.
A group of 35 students and staff from Carmel RC Technology College will set off on their annual pilgrimage to the shrine of Lourdes, in southern France, on Sunday, where they will help a group of disabled children enjoy a rare holiday.
It is the eighth year Carmel youngsters have worked to take a group of disabled children away.
The trip marks the end of a year's fundraising and group leader Clare Moore said: "It is so great that at a time when young people frequently come in for criticism, our group members are willing to give up a week of their holidays to help people who are less fortunate than themselves.
