Plans to improve Willington's park will be on display next week. Groundwork West Durham consulted people in the town for their ideas on regenerating Jubilee Park.
The plans, drawn up with Wear Valley District Council and Willington Community Partnership will be on display at the resource centre in High Street, Willington, on Thursday, April 4.
FUN DAY: A fun day at the Rushyford Eden Arms Hotel on Easter Sunday to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind has been postponed.
BLOOD DONORS: Anyone wishing to give blood can do so at Crook Civic Hall, Crook, on Tuesday, April 9, from 3pm to 7pm.
ART SHOW: An exhibition featuring the work of local artist James Robinson will be on show at the Greenfield Community and Arts Centre, Newton Aycliffe, from April 8 to 24.

COUNCIL SURGERIES: Sedgefield Borough councillors for the Tudhoe ward will be holding surgeries next week. Councillors Agnes Armstrong and Barbara Graham will be at Tudhoe Moor Nursery School next Tuesday, from 4pm to 5pm. They will also be at Tudhoe Community Centre on Thursday, April 4, from 10am to 11am.
GARAGE RAID: Fishing equipment, a mountain bike, battery charger and a tool box, worth a total of £3,275, were stolen from a garage in Silverdale Place, Newton Aycliffe, between 10pm on Sunday and 7.15am on Monday.
CAR THEFT: A blue Vauxhall Carlton, registration G272 BEH at £1,000, was stolen from Eden Drive, Sedgefield, between 8pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.
CAR STOLEN: A red Vauxhall Vectra, registration number R270 MVY, worth £4,000, was stolen from Lime Road, Ferryhill, between 9pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
TRIMDON WALK: A ten-mile walk covering all the Trimdon villages sets off from the Jet filling station, on the A181 at Wheatley Hill, at 10am on Monday. Booking is not required, but there is a charge of £2 for adults and £1 for children and over 60s, payable at the start.
HALL MEETING: West Auckland Memorial Community Association has its annual meeting on Thursday, April 4 at 7pm in the Memorial Hall.
RAMBLERS' FESTIVAL: The Ramblers' Festival of Spring Walks will begin on Friday. The walk will begin at Slayley at 10.15am. For details call (01833) 638970.
