TWO Stockton schoolboys have won a poetry competition - and the chance to read their verses live on BBC Radio Cleveland.
Joe Nelson, 12, of Norton School, won the senior section and Thomas Gibson, ten, of St Joseph's School, won the juniors.
Joe penned a comedy poem called Bob the Pigeon, while Thomas wrote a more serious piece on bullying.
Each won £20, a certificate and read their poems on the Sue Sweeney chat show, on the Cleveland station.
The competition was held by Norton Grange Community Forum, which asked local schools in the area to get children involved in writing poetry.
