A MOTHER of two has won more than £60,000 after a lucky streak at the bingo.

The 42-year-old woman, from Hartlepool, who does not wish to be named, won £59,300 on the national game, a regional prize of £1,028 and a house prize of £147 at the Mecca Bingo Club in the town.

She completed the full house in 40 numbers, which was the fewest anywhere nationwide.

Her winnings will be split with a friend, who goes with her to bingo every week.

The woman, who works as an administration assistant, and her husband, have been married for 22 years and have two children.

She said it had always been her dream to go on a cruise and that is one thing her money will be spent on.

Customer services manager at the club, Neil Lamb, said: "She got a big round of applause and everybody was saying 'well done'."
