STREET CLOSURE: One of the main roads through Harrogate is in danger of collapsing if work is not carried out. A survey by Yorkshire Water has revealed that drainage problems in Parliament Street could cause the ground to become unstable if action is not taken. The road will be closed for about five days from the evening of Saturday, April 6. Traffic will be directed along Montpellier Hill and Crescent Road. It is the second time emergency works have been carried out on the street, which collapsed last year when a sewer became fractured.
