THE memories of pensioners will be recorded for posterity as part of a Darlington arts project.
The Looking at Memory video will allow members to organise themselves into film crews and record their memories in the boardroom at Haughton School, which will serve as a studio.
The 22 members will visit places which revive special memories and record them.
Funding for the project has been provided by Darlington Arts, Darlington Education Department and the Mayor's Charity.
The group is doing location work in South Park, Darlington where many of them used to visit as children and play Easter games, including egg jarping, a game similar to conkers, played with hard boiled eggs.
The project also gives participants the opportunity to learn video production and organise creative arts events.
Filming has taken place at Darlington Railway Museum, Eden Camp and Beamish Open Air Museum. Other locations are also planned for the future.
