A WOMAN has filled her trolley as part of a contest to boost charity coffers.
Yarm District Lions Club's annual Grand Charity Draw 2002 was in aid of autistic charities and other Lions good causes.
Julie Lamb won the first prize - a three-minute early morning trolley dash which took place on Sunday, at Safeway in Ingleby Barwick. Two runners-up received Safeway vouchers.
Members of Yarm Lions offered their congratulations to the winners and sincere thanks to all who contributed to this event.
In its first ten years, Yarm Lions has raised about £45,000, enabling support to be given to many local causes including the Butterwick Hospices, Child Call North- East, local health centres, Alzheimer Care, Ambulance Care Service, special schools and many young people with a variety of special needs, or needing support with service projects to provide for the underprivileged.
It has also contributed to national and international appeals.
