FARM gardens across the region are to reopen to the public this Easter, adding to the list of attractions hoping to welcome visitors back to the countryside.
Despite one of the worst years for farmers in living memory, hundreds will again open their gardens to raise cash for rural concerns and charities.
President of the National Farmers' Union, Ben Gill, who farms near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, said: "This time of year is always popular with visitors as the weather starts to improve and our flowers, fields, farmyards and hedgerows burst back to life.
"We hope everyone uses their invitation back to the countryside this year.
