Thieves snatch flower tubs
TEN wooden half-beer barrel flower tubs, worth £300, were stolen from the Great Aycliffe Town Council depot, at School Aycliffe Lane, Newton Aycliffe, between 4.30pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday.
COMPRESSOR THEFT: An Ingersoll Rand P130 compressor with a Deutz S3L 10LF diesel engine has been stolen from the Prismo compound, in Mainsforth Road, Chilton. The plant number is A218310 and the serial number is 315266.
CAR STOLEN: A black Isuzu Trooper estate, registration L906 PAS, was stolen from Hawthorne Road, West Cornforth, between 2pm on Tuesday and 7.55am yesterday.
EGG DATE: The annual Easter egg-jarping contest at the Cross Keys, Eastgate, will take place on Sunday at noon. For details call Paul Collinson on (01388) 517374.
