The college has recently been supporting the hard work of The Teenage Cancer Care Trust by raising money in numerous ways. The school's charity committee appointed this as the good cause to support, as it helps many children within the college's peer group with this disease.
Foreign Pen pals: The school's modern foreign language department has started links with Spanish, German and French schools in a bid to improve pupils' linguistic skills. Helen Tregoning, head of languages, piloted the initiative and hopes to start up live email links and video conferencing for developing communications with the rest of Europe.

Prom date: Year 11 students are looking forward to their prom, on May 8 at Hardwick Hall. Pupils are requested to dress formally. They will have their photographs taken on arrival.

Good Luck: After three and a half years of teaching modern foreign languages at the school, Marie Lister, former head of her department, is leaving. Everyone at the school wishes the assistant head the best of luck.
