A DELEGATION of members from an anti-war lobby are hoping to meet Prime Minister Tony Blair today.
The members of Darlington for Peace are travelling to the Prime Minister's constituency home in Sedgefield to present him with a letter objecting to the US war on terrorism initiative.
The group held a series of peace vigils against the war in Afghanistan at the market cross in Darlington.
The spokesman for the Darlington group, Mike Winstanley, said: "We hope to meet the Prime Minister in person so we can tell him that his support for President Bush's campaign of terror is not in our name, and that Mr Blair should use Easter to reflect on his Christian faith and consider how he should use his influence to gain justice and peace, not further death and mourning."
