PEOPLE are being invited to a public meeting on Monday, April 8, at the Elite Hall, Crook, at 7pm, to discuss future projects in the town under the Crook Market Town Health Check.
It is the second meeting to be held in the town. The first was on February 4.
MUSEUM REOPENS: The North of England Lead Mining Museum at Killhope, Upper Weardale, has arranged children's activities over the Easter weekend when it reopens after a winter break. A 75ft stretch has been added to the mine trip, so that visitors can reach a date stone from 1854. The museum is open from 10.30am to 5pm and 5.30pm on bank holidays. Call (01388) 537505 for details.

PARTNERSHIP MEETS: The next meeting of Crook Community Partnership is on Thursday, at 7pm, in St Catherine's Community Centre, Market Place, Crook.
BIG BASH: Teesdale Pipes and Drums will play throughout the day at Bowes village for the Big Bash event on Monday. The band will play on the forecourt of the Ancient Unicorn Inn and lead the Easter bonnet procession at 2pm. The group needs new members. For details call Barry Waldron on (01833) 660562.
