Willington Area League
In a re-arranged match Willington Black Horse Tavern visited the Victoria Club needing four points to clinch the runners-up spot or three to qualify for a play-off with the Prospect Club and Sunnybrow Brown Trout. However it was the Victoria who put themselves in line for a possible runners-up play when they won by three points.
The Victoria took off in the singles with wins from Ronnie Greensmith, Norman Bolam, Brenda Robinson and Julie Hall before Laurie Norman scored for the Horse. The Victoria took the first doubles through Ronnie Greensmith and Norman Bolam with the Horse taking the second through Davey Hawkins and Donald Young. Julie Hall completed a good win for the Victoria by beating Laurie Norman in the captain's game.

The Prospect Club kept up their Championship challenge after they beat their hosts at the Willington Brewer's Droop B by the odd point. The home side went ahead through Carol Hawkins with Adrian Peacock levelling. Dave Fleming restored the home lead only to see Steven Britton equalise. In the decider the Prospect's Lane Sample beat Jason Martin to stay one point behind the leaders but with a match in hand.
Willington Black Horse held on to their top spot with an odd point home win over third placed Sunnybrow Brown Trout. David Rusby and Tony Liddle won for the Trout but Dale Wilson, Davie Lawrence and Davie Hawkins took the Horse to victory.
The Black Horse are one point ahead of the Prospect Club, who are three ahead of Hunwick Club and the Brown Trout. However the Trout and the Prospect have a match in hand on the others.

Crook League
Willington Market recovered from their defeat in their first match when they travelled to Crook Jelly's Bar B and came through to win by the odd point. The home side had singles wins from Neil Stoker and Colin Smith with Dave Morris and Neil Stoker winning the doubles. The Market went to victory with wins from Paul Briddick, John Blackett, Syd Trow and Paul Lauder.
Crook Travellers Rest B lead the First Division by three points from Crook Mill House, who are only one ahead of five other teams. In the Second Division, Crook White Swan lead Crook Queen's Head A by two points with Crook Golden Fleece, Willington Market and Crook Royal Sun B a further three points adrift.
