Pensioners are recording their memories on a time capsule videotape.
The 22 members of the Looking at Memories video group, in Darlington, have recorded short videotapes.
They recorded their memories at a temporary studio at Haughton School and then visit the places they reminisced about to see how they had changed.
The group has visited Darlington Railway Museum, Eden Camp and the Beamish Open Air Museum.
Over the Easter weekend group members will be recording at Darlington's South Park, where many of them spent time as children.
Group member Irene Longley said: "Young people today know little of the fun we used to have celebrating Easter in the South Park. Everybody used to go, whole families used to dress up in their finest clothes and play all sorts of games."
The Looking at Memories project, sponsored by Darlington Arts, Darlington Borough Council and the Mayor's Charity, has been running for two months.
Member George Nicholson said: "It is like producing a time capsule being left for future generations. It would be interesting to see how the younger generation interpret the completed video."
