BUDDING DJs and the next pop idols have been given the chance to expand their experience and get their music heard at a special music school.
Run by popular music agency Generator, the New Generation Pop and DJ School has been running all week at the Cornerhouse in Middlesbrough, giving young people under the age of 18 a taste of the music industry.
For the DJs, there has been a hands-on approach to DJ-ing skills and techniques and the chance to get creative in the recording studio as well as advice on how to promote a club night.
For the singers, pop tutors were on hand to work on voice, movement, image and styling as well as the chance to record a demo tape at Studio 64.
Last night, the event culminated in a free showcase performance for all friends and family of the budding starlets held at the Cornerhouse
