TEENAGERS from the Chester-le-Street and Washington Schools Under-14s will play with pride in new kit at a national tournament.
Team members are hoping to be spotted by scouts from some of the country's leading football clubs at the tournament, on the Isle of Wight.
They will be performing in the friendly competition for UK district teams in a new kit provided by house builders Bowey Homes.
Team coach David Beeston said: "Our old strips are shabby and we only had one set, which makes it difficult when we go to tournaments where we play a lot of games in short space of time. Without generous sponsorship from companies, junior football couldn't survive in the community, but we will certainly look the part on the Isle of Wight now."
The team, who train at Biddick School, in Washington, are made up of the best players from 11 schools in Chester-le-Street and Washington.
They are expected to finish second in the district league
