TWO evenings of nostalgia and family fun will be helping to fund another next week.
Old Time Music Hall returns to Richmond's Zetland Christian Community Centre on Thursday and Friday - and every seat sold will boost the coffers of this year's Richmond Meet.
The Meet coincides with the Queen's golden jubilee celebrations in June and, after foot-and-mouth curtailed last year's programme, organisers are hoping for a bumper year.
A spring performance has become a traditional way of helping to raise cash for the Meet.
"A great deal of hard work has gone into this show and we hope we have managed to put together a mix in which everybody will find something which appeals to them," said president Steve Cooke.
The audience will be encouraged to enter into the spirit of the occasion by wearing hats, with a prize on offer to the best.
"Given the experiences we have had in our annual carnival parade, which displays the very fertile imagination of local people, I am sure we can expect some excellent pieces of work,'' Mr Cooke said.
