VOLUNTEERS are working around the clock to ensure a popular tourist attraction is up and running for the summer.
Last year, Saltburn's miniature railway faced disruption while improvements were carried out because of flood damage to Valley Gardens and the need to reroute the track because of tighter Railway Inspectorate rules.
The railway track still runs from the seafront to the tea gardens, but its station has been moved nearer to the Cat Nab car park as part of the overall enhancement programme for the Valley Gardens.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council plans to provide manpower and funding to support the volunteers' aim to have the railway running by June
